Headquarters enables company-wide reporting and communication, and can be integrated with Microsoft Business Solutions—Great Plains® financial management applications and other Microsoft Business Solutions applications. Headquarters is implemented centrally, with Store Operations in each business location. Data from Store Operations are regularly uploaded to the Headquarters database. Microsoft Retail Management System uses Headquarters Remote Client and Headquarters Communications Servers programs to connect locations over the Internet using broadband, dial-up, or VPN (virtual private network) links.
The Headquarters Manager program supports retailers with worksheets and other functionality to manage inventories, procedures, suppliers, prices, costs, and more, for all stores, a single store, or a group of them.
